Listed below are the artillery pieces owned by Battery D 5th US. All are full-scale/ full-bore exact replicas of the originals which we use regularly in reenactments and live-fire competition.

2.9" 10 PDR PARROT RIFLE
Battery D Fifth US was equipped with six ten PDR Parrot Rifles. Our modern day unit is equipped with two of these cannons, both fully rifled.

1857 12 POUNDER NAPOLEON
The Napoleon was the most popular artillery piece of the Civil War, utilized by both the Federals and Confederates. Our unit has one of these artillery pieces in our inventory.

LIMBER
The limber is a two-wheeled carriage that carries an ammunition chest. It was connected directly behind a team of six horses and towed either a gun or caisson.
MODEL 1841 24 PDR. COEHORN MORTAR
These were used extensively during the Civil War to lob explosive shells into masked targets from 50 to 1200 yards.
